Yoga and Mindfulness
When we create your own yoga practice together, you will tap into the many potential benefits, including -improved flexibility and strength, better posture, cartilage and joint support, spine protection, increased bone density and blood flow, lymph drainage, support of heart health, regulation of blood pressure and adrenal glands, increased general well-being and happiness, sharper focus, improved balance, release of tension, improved sleep, more effective breathing and digestion, peace of mind and more!
Custom Private Yoga Sessions
I love group classes and the energy and support that we get from being in the 'sangha', but often, a private session may be the best option. My own experience with yoga has included a home practice for about 40 years! If you are someone who, for whatever reason, would rather enjoy yoga by yourself and in your own time and space, you may benefit from one or more private visits to learn and design your home practice. It's an economical approach - there is no class fee every time you practice and no travel time! If you are a beginner or someone who is getting back to yoga, you can get a kick-start on a home practice, get ready to bounce into a studio, or pop in now and again for a refresher. If you have a physical consideration, such as a low back issue, other joint issues, high blood pressure, etc. you may find that it is good to take some personal instruction before going to a larger class where the teacher may not be able to take as much time with you. When we work together, we can take as much time as it takes, to ensure that your practice is customized to your needs. There are many possibilities for modification in your own practice. This is a great option for two people who practice together at home - ever try partner yoga?
Custom Group Classes
At the moment, I do not have a regular yoga group class schedule at the studio. I do have experience teaching vinyasa-based yoga to kids, teens and adults, and I can customize a class for a special event or a series. Kids love having fun with yoga - ask me about an animal class! Teens love yoga. Please contact me if you have an idea and stay tuned for announcements about special programs like camps, March Break, etc.

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing clearly, whatever is happening in our lives. It will not eliminate life's pressures, but it can help us respond to them in a calmer manner that benefits our heart, head, and body. It helps us recognise and step away from habitual, often unconscious emotional and physiological reactions to everyday events. It provides us with a scientifically researched approach to cultivating clarity, insight, and understanding. Practicing mindfulness allows us to be fully present in our life and work, and improve our quality of life. (from: mindfulnet.org)
It is also called awareness, and I incorporate it into many of my modalities. Mindfulness is for everyone - kids and teens can see huge benefits.
